FIRST LOOK

I'll say it again , the ARKUA coolers come in the best packaging Ive seen so far, I was seriously impressed with the ARKUA 7528 70mm cooler, and the ARKUA 6228 looks like another extremely well made product. The 6800rpm fan is loud , Im listening to it run right now , and since I have already done the tests I know how good this cooler is , and by golly is this a good cooler, hehehehe I know , on to the results.

SYSTEM

ASUS A7V133c with a AMD T-bird 1ghz @ 8 x 133bus = 1066mhz , 3Dmark2001 run for 20min or so, Thermal monitor = MBM5 , room temp 18deg Celsius. Side cover off.

TESTING

First , lets see how the idle temp goes,

No way, 32deg Celsius, now thats cool , time to run 3Dmark2001 , lets see what happens.

WOW 35deg C, ok its a little cooler today then when I tested the Dragon Orb 3 , but 35deg Celsius, I ran 3Dmark2001 a few more times to make sure , max temp was still 35deg C. Ok so this is the best cooler tested to date , and the only thing remaining is to see how things go overclocking.

OVERCLOCKING

At 1.2ghz my cpu was idling at around 36deg C , now that's not bad at all.

And after doing the 3dmark2001 benchtest:

That's 37deg Celsius under full load at 1.2ghz, and as I type this my T-bird is doing 1.2ghz . Well this cooler is hands down the best I've ever tested, It crushes all coolers that have come before it. Unfortunately my cpu requires more power to overclock higher , and I will be doing the voltage mod to my Mother board soon. Extra voltage means more heat , and that means more cooling power needed. The ARKUA 6228 has cooling power a plenty , and I feel more confident about doing the voltage mod with the AKURA 6228 in my arsenal , of overclocking tools.

CONCLUSION

The ARKUA 6228 is by far the best cpu cooler that I have tested to date , It has crushed the Thermaltake Dragon Orb 3 , and makes my Volcano 6Cu look seriously out of touch. The only negative thing I have to say about this cooler is the noise. From a performance perspective , this cooler is just awesome , seriously , this must be one of the best coolers money can buy at the moment. I would love to put the 32cfm fan from the Volcano 6Cu on this cooler to see what difference it makes to the performance , or fit a 80mm to 60mm fan converter on it . I will be doing some more testing with the ARKUA 6228 cooler to see what sort of performance curve it has with different fans fitted. To sum up this cooler , its a well made quality unit that performs so well it just cant be ignored, and if you can find one , buy it, I consider myself very lucky to have been sent such a good cooler. 10 out of 10 , ARKUA Technology Co., Ltd have a winner here , a contender for the heavy weight championship of the cooler world. WARNING: The YS-tech fan draws over 7Watts , run this fan directly from your Power Supply.
