I'll be taking a quick look at the Just cooler
SP350 , and as the model no suggests its the 350W model .
              SYSTEM:
             Epox 8k3A , XP1700

turn on & off for all peripheral equipments in one click.

              All AC outlets with
                "Auto Turn-On" & " Auto Shut - Down "
                function.
              Surge protected and By Pass
Device to AC outlets for modem, printer, scanner, monitor and other
                peripherals.
              Recessed power switch to
                prevent accidental turn - off.
              EMI (PFI) filtration.
 Here
is the sp350 next to my Codegen 400w power supply , as far as Amps
go both power supplies are rated about the same , well exactly the
same , and the sp350 had no problems feeding my system power .
   The
sp350 provided a very steady power supply to my system , a sign of a
good power supp is by seeing how steady the power flow through the
system is , if it varies a lot then that is a bad sign . the +3.3 ,
+5v -5v supply did not vary at all , that I could see and was as
steady as a rock , -12v was the same , the only variance came in the
+12v supply where it was continuously moving from +12.40v to
            +12.46v  , a very small fluctuation in deed . My original 300w
power supply fluctuated far more than this and I must say that the
sp350 is as good as  my current 400w power supply
, as far as power fluctuations are concerned , in fact my 400w power
supply had the same exact +12v fluctuation of +12.40 to +12.46 .
 Here
you can see how the sp350 cooling fan works , unfortunately the
sp350 makes a fair bit more noise than my 400w power supply , Im
sure  the fan is variable speed , as my system needs more power
the cooling fan speeds up remarkably , so the fan may somehow be
controlled by the computers power needs . A seriously good idea ,
but again the cooling fan is not so quiet , Silent power , sorry ,
this is the noisiest power supply Ive used to date , my sponsor wont
like my saying that , but its the truth . CONCLUSION: A
fan that speeds up as more power is consumed by the computer , so as
to keep the power supply temperature steady , got to  like that
, Silen Power , No , the fan is quite noticeable , even with my
Delta 60mm fan screaming away . Its not annoying , only noticeable ,
and for such a steady flow of power , I think most of us
            wouldn't   notice after a while  ( UPDATE:
running the power supply outside my computer the fan noise
was non existent , so whether my chassis is slightly bent causing
the power supply to vibrate or the PS body to twist when bolted on I
can't say , but I can say that it was seriously quiet when run out
of my computer )  . Its a good power supply
, and its better than what Ive got at the moment ( what do you
expect for $56 ) . So if you are looking for a power supply with
multiple outlets , built in surge protection , and a variable speed
fan that actually works , you better give the Just Cooler sp350 a
good look , and it does come in 300w and 400w versions as well . I
had no problems what so ever with this PS and it bolted to my case
without the need for any modifications or compromises .
Unfortunately this power supply has to go back , so seeing how it
fares over the long haul is out of the question , aaaaw shucks ,
this PS is worthy of your consideration , and your money . |
